Established in 2006, Avirat Agro Producer Company Ltd, is a Farmer Producer company registered under section 501 of the Company Registration Act 1956 (No.1 of 1956) Amendment act 2002, wherein shareholding farmers pool resources for better market linkages.

Inception:

Shikshan and Samaj Kalyan Kendra (SSKK), had been working in Amreli district since 1980. In 1997, the agency started working on natural resource management and development in around 16 villages around the small block headquarters at Khambha. It had taken up the work of watershed as a Project Implementing Agency (PIA) and as mandated, it had established several village-level watershed associations and institutions in these villages. The work of watershed got completed during 2004-05.

From 2000-2001 SSKK tried to from federation of Farmer’s organization in Khambha block of Amreli distric. After five years meetings with representatives of various mandals we got consent to form a federation named AVIRAT. In the year 2006-07 AVIRAT AGRO PRODUCHER COMPANY LIMITED registered under section Company Registration Act 1956 with Registration No. U0140GJ2006PLC048635 dated 6th July, 2006.

Vision:

     To establish a thriving agricultural practitioner community.

Objectives:

• Working to undertake activities like production of primary products, distribution, grading, business/selling of the product, and export or  import commodity/goods or services for benefits of members.
• To implement a process for maintenance of products, drying, and packing.
• To involve in production, selling a business or provide a stock of consumption machinery and tools.
• Provide education on the theory of interpersonal support to members and others.
• Provide services for training/researches and development, technical and advisory services, and undertake other activities to promote good relations.
• Production of energy for primary products, distribution, reestablishment, and use of tools of land and water, preservation, storage, and dialogue.
• To cover producers and primary products under insurance.
• To promote and encourage the technique of interaction and mutual support.

Achievement:

• Total share capital of Rs.2499199 with 2015 Shareholders.
