Six camps between January and March screened 272 women
Survival in breast and cervical cancer is decided mostly by how early the disease is found. In a village with no gynaecologist within reach, a woman does not present late by choice.
Six camps ran between January and March 2026, with the Aashirvad Foundation, screening 272 women:
| Date | Place | Women screened |
|---|---|---|
| 10 January 2026 | PHC Shekh Pipariya | 46 |
| 4 February 2026 | PHC Keriya | 80 |
| 14 & 18 February 2026 | PHC Keriya | 64 |
| 4 March 2026 | Babara | 30 |
| 25 March 2026 | Nana Ankadiya | 20 |
| 26 March 2026 | Shekh Pipariya | 32 |
Keriya, 18 February 2026. The sign above the door reads PHC Chavand, Health & Wellness Centre Shekhpipariya, Aarogya Kendra Keriya.
Screening ran alongside guidance on self-examination, which is the part that keeps working after the camp packs up. A woman who knows what she is feeling for does not have to wait for the next camp to come to her block.
Registration at Shekh Pipariya, 26 March 2026.
Two other pieces of health work ran through the year: 1,000 first aid kits distributed to farmers and farm labourers, who handle tools, machinery and chemicals daily; and eye camps with Ranchhoddasji Bapu Charitable Hospital, Rajkot, with farmers needing surgery referred on for it.
