Privacy policy

Shikshan ane Samaj Kalyan Kendra (“SSKK”, “we”) runs this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect through it and how we handle it.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us:

• Contact form — your name, email address, optional phone number, and your message.
• Volunteer and internship applications — your name, contact details, city, availability, background and any institution you name.
• Activity updates — your email address, if you subscribe.
• Donations — donations are processed by Razorpay, our payment gateway. Card and bank details are handled entirely by Razorpay and never reach us or this website. We receive your name, contact details, the amount, and — where Indian tax law requires it — your address and PAN.

We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone. Ever.

Why we collect it

• To reply to you.
• To process your application or your donation, and to issue an 80G receipt.
• To send you occasional updates about our work, if you asked for them.
• To meet our legal obligations under Indian tax law and, for foreign contributions, the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and applications are kept for as long as they are useful, and reviewed periodically. Donation records are retained for the period required by Indian tax and FCRA regulations. Subscriber emails are kept until you unsubscribe.

Who else sees it

• Razorpay, for payment processing.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website and processes form submissions on our behalf.
• Our auditors and the relevant government authorities, where the law requires disclosure.

That is the full list. We do not share your details with other non-profits, fundraising agencies or data brokers.

Analytics and cookies

This website does not set advertising or profiling cookies. If we use analytics, it is a privacy-respecting, aggregate service that does not track you across other websites.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Every update email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also just reply and ask.

Children

We work with children and take their privacy seriously. Images and stories involving children are published only with the consent of a parent or guardian, and we do not publish identifying details of any child who has received care or protection services.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.
